“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
— Philippians 1:3-5

WHAT ARE GOSPEL PARTNERS?

When we have an opportunity to join in the mission of God with those serving locally and around the world, we borrow language from Philippians chapter 1 and call them partners. These Gospel Partners represent our members and friends serving both locally and globally. We support individuals and organizations who closely align with our mission to faithfully complete the Great Commission.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
— Matthew 28:19-20

LEARN ABOUT MISSIONS & GOSPEL PARTNERSHIPS

At Four Oaks Midtown, we desire to not only communicate our own need for the Gospel, but to communicate the need for people who have been transformed by the Gospel to then take it to every people, tribe and nation.

Are you considering missions? We want to pray with you as you discern God’s call to go; help to mobilize and support you as you prepare; and send you out from Four Oaks Midtown for the purpose of making disciples in other places.

Do you feel called to the mission field but aren’t sure where to start? Let us walk with you through the process and pray with you along the way. If you are thinking about missions, want to learn more about becoming a Gospel Partner, or have other questions that you’d like to discuss, please reach out!

“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.
— Acts 13:2–3

RECOMMENDATIONS & RESOURCES

The Missionary Explainer Series defines common terms and ideas used by churches and missions organizations seeking to send out missionaries. Having conversations about these topics becomes easier when we begin by using the same definitions for what we are discussing.

The Spiritual Survival Handbook for Cross-Cultural Workers was written to help prepare you for the challenges you may face when serving in the spiritually desolate areas of our world. You don’t have to be ready to go onto the field to read this book!

Joshua Project seeks to answer the questions that result from the Great Commission's call to make disciples among every nation or people group:

  • Who are the ethnic people groups of the world?

  • Which people groups still need initial church-planting in their midst?

  • What ministry resources are available to reach the least-reached?is a tool you can use to help you pray for Unreached people groups around the world.
